Brandon Scott Kaercher, 53, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Elkhart on March 16, 1972, to Richard (Julie) Kaercher and Katherine Robinson, who both survive him.

Brandon is also survived by his son, Richard (Emily) Willard; daughters, Kaya Kaercher and Aiyana Kaercher; grandchildren, Lilliana, Victoria, Madison, Megan, Ruby, and Nadia Willard; brothers, Chris Kaercher and Anthony Kaercher; stepbrother, Richard James Jr; and stepsister, Shelly King.

Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. No services will be held at this time.

Brandon worked for many years as a line worker for local trailer manufacturing companies. He typically kept to himself but enjoyed spending time with his son, Richard. In Brandon's earlier years, he loved Archery and was an active member of a local archery club at one time. His archery skills served him well whenever he went out hunting, sometimes taking his son with him as well. Brandon rode dirt bikes with Richard from time to time and together they enjoyed cheering on their favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Though he enjoyed his alone time, Brandon would always make time for his son and his family. He will be dearly missed.
