Bonnie Janelle Owens, 47, of Elkhart passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at her home.

Bonnie was born in Houston, TX on January 18, 1978 to Thomas J. Burggraff and Jean (Martens) Burggraff.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Burggraff in 2019.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jason Owens of Elkhart; her son, Noah; her daughter, Avery; mother, Jean Burggraff of Cypress, TX; brothers, David T. (Heather) Burggraff of Parker, CO and Adam M. Burggraff of Cypress, TX; aunt Marilyn (Tony) Osbon of FL; Uncle, William (Jane) Martens of IL; father-in-law, Jeff Sager; mother-in-law, Gail Sager both of Elkhart; and many friends who will miss her.

Bonnie was a "bright star" who was also a loving daughter, mother, and wife. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed spreading happiness and joy through the many birthday and theme parties that she enjoyed planning for the ones she loved.

There will be a memorial service for Bonnie at 3:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Clay Powell of Elkhart City Church presiding.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the start of the service from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home.
