ELKHART -- Bobby Jones, 55, of Elkhart, passed away after a battle with cancer Sunday, May 15, 2011, at his home.
He was born on June 27, 1955, in Bell City, Mo., to Kenny and Ceola (Johnson) Jones Sr.
Surviving are his sons, Bobby Jones Jr. and Miles Armstrong Jones; daughter, Bettina Bernice Jones; mother, Ceola Tate; brothers, Kinnie Jones Jr. and Anthony R. Jones; and sisters, Kathy Anderson and Jacqueline Dye. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins survive as well.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Jones Sr.
Friends may call for one hour prior to Saturday's 11 a.m. service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Sam Frison will officiate with burial to follow at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.
Bobby worked on a farm as a youth and later worked at Riblet Products in Elkhart. He also lived in New York City and South Carolina where he had a car-detailing service. He loved basketball and collecting antiques and liked to dress nice.
