ELKHART — Bobby D. Hopper Jr., 60, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 23, 2013, in his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1953, in Paragould, Ark., to Bobby D. and Dionna Deloice (Cross) Hopper Sr.
Surviving are his companion of more than 30 years, Kathleen J. Weidner; sons Trevor A. (Jennifer) Hopper and Troy A. (Jackie) Hopper, both of South Bend, and Dale A. (Taryn) Weidner of Elkhart; five grandchildren; his mother, Dionna Deloice (Donald) Witherell of Ocala, Fla.; and brothers Keith (Antonia) Hopper of Lake Wales, Fla., and Ray (Shannon) Hopper of Lakeland, Fla. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Sr., and daughter Lacey J. Weidner.
Bobby was an independent electrical contractor. He formerly worked for Bristol Electric. He enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin and was an avid Notre Dame, Peyton Manning and Indianapolis Colts fan. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
