Bobbi Joanne (McCollough) Areaux, 64, passed away peacefully Friday morning, May 14, 2021 at I U Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, surrounded by love and her family.

Bobbi was born in Elkhart on March 4, 1957 to the late Devon Jennings McCollough and Sharon Ann (Burton) Sargent. In addition to her parents, her former husband Daniel Areaux and her fiancé Charlie Ragland preceded her in death.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her loving daughter Courtney E. Areaux and her fiancé Nick Fuller, and the one who was the sparkle of her eye, grandson Ian Brown; and a loving brother Joe McCollough; her loving family, Mike (Lorie) Harrison, Christy Miles, Mike (Karin) Logan and Thair (Candace) Hanaway; as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

Bobbi was a housewife raising her daughter for 16 years. She worked for Tom Naquin Chevrolet-Nissan in sales for over 15 years, winning many awards and recognition for her outstanding sales ability and kindness. She was formerly employed as the executive secretary for the president of Glavel Corporation for 10 years and had worked at various RV companies over the years.

Her passion was serving and helping people. She was very involved with the Salvation Army, where she served on the board of directors and had ran the "Adopt a family "program and Toyland. She was a member of Tri-Kappa and had a penchant for collecting purses. Most of all, she was just a kind, sweet, loving person and will be terribly missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart, where a service celebrating Bobbi's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, with 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Nick Montgomery of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
