Obituary
ELKHART — Billy Joe Johnson, 32, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, July 13, as a result of a motorcycle accident near Goshen.
He was born in Knox County, Ky., on July 30, 1981, to Leslie Sr. and Kimberly (Rhodes) Johnson, both of Elkhart.
Also surviving are his sons, Kameron and Jerimiah Johnson; brothers Leslie Johnson Jr. and Adrian Couch; and sisters Angela (Brad Bontrager) Johnson and Kristina Snook.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Johnson.
Services will take place at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart on Friday, July 18, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. followed by a funeral at 3 p.m. Pastor Mike Bundy of Westside Worship Center of Elkhart will officiate. Billy will then be returned to Kentucky for burial in Caleb's Creek Cemetery. Barbourville Funeral Home, 1196 U.S. Highway 25E, Barbourville, Ky., is handling pending arrangements there.
Billy worked as a welder for Look Trailers of Middlebury, and he will be best remembered for his love for his friends and family and his ever-present smile.
Memorial donations may be given in Billy's memory to his mother or his father.
