Obituary

THREE RIVERS, Mich. — Billie Jean Nixon, 78, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Three Rivers Health.

Billie was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Pikeville, Ky., to Homer and Dixie (Kinney) Spears.

She was married to Thomas Nixon. He preceded her in death.

In addition to her husband, a daughter, Debra Stephens, son Anthony Nixon, sister Edna Wilson, brothers Gary and Harold Spears and a sister, Genny Swetcoff, preceded her in death.

Surviving are three grandsons, Robert and Christopher Stephens and Joshua Nixon; brother Morris Spears of Constantine and sisters Dottie Molner of Dunlap, Ind., and Fretta (Mark) Stuart of Elkhart, Ind.

Billie lived in Constantine for many years, coming from Chicago. She was raised in the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.

Billie will be laid to rest in the family plot at Kessington Cemetery in Cass County at a later date.

Billings Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
