Bill R. Smith, 99, of Elkhart, died Monday, May 27, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus. He was born on December 20, 1924, in Elkhart, to the late Raymond and Elbertine (Cotterill) Smith. He married Mary Maxine (Kimes), who preceded him in death in 2021.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Sue) Smith; daughter, Nancy A. Smith; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Phillip Smith.

Bill worked for Teledyne for 35 years, and Phillips Products for 19 years. He was a proud veteran of the United Sates Army serving from 1943 until 1946 as a medic.

Cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home.
