Obituary
ELKHART — Beverly Joan (Bingaman) Hoffman, 87, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Elkhart.
Bev was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Wakarusa, to the late Harold and Nina (Kimball) Ritter.
She married Willis Wm. Bingaman on June 4, 1949; he died Dec. 23, 1978. She married Verle Hoffman in 1983; he died in 2005.
Surviving are daughters Susan J. Bingaman and husband Craig Jerina and Linda J. Brown and husband Frank and four grandchildren. Also surviving are four stepsons, a stepdaughter and a stepsister, JoEllen Taylor.
Beverly was a homemaker.
She formerly worked at Drake's Department Store and then at Elkhart General Hospital as a ward secretary for 12 years.
She was a member of Belmont Mennonite Church and was a former volunteer with the YMCA, tutoring adults with reading.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart.
Services celebrating Beverly's life will begin at 11a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, with visitation one hour prior at Belmont Mennonite Church, 925 Oxford St. Elkhart. Pastors Mandy Yoder and Larry Rohrer will officiate. A luncheon will take place after services.
Burial will then follow in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association or the Center for Hospice Care.
