ELKHART — Betty L. Timmons, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Pickaway County, Ohio to Fred and Mary E. (Boggs) Stevenson.
Survivors include one son, Michael Timmons of Elkhart; one daughter, Toni (Russell) Brayton of Elkhart; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Stevenson Rolfe.
Betty was employed at the Elkhart County Health Department for over 22 years prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time doing word games, crossword puzzles and watching car races with her son. Betty was an avid traveler and liked visiting places like Hawaii, Mexico, Bahamas and the United Kingdom.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the noon funeral service on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart.
Pastor Phil Byars will officiate.
Interment will follow in Rice Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Mission, Church World Services or Church and Community Services in memory of Betty.
