ELKHART — Betty Jean Redman, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at 1:20 a.m. at the Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Milford to Vernon and Nina (Norris) Sharkey.
On April 1, 1958, she married Norman C. Redman. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1997.
Survivors include daughter Debra Ivers of Elkhart; son Randall J. (Karen) Redman of Elkhart; sister Juanita (Jerry) Vannoster of New Paris; four grandchildren, Christopher Redman of Indianapolis, and Julie Kocsis, Jeremy Mast and Holly Mast, all of Elkhart; and three great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held two hours prior to the 7 p.m. memorial service Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
