ELKHART — Betty Lou O'Haver, 84, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at Elkhart General Hospital on Wednesday, May 11.
She was born in Cromwell on Feb. 13, 1932, to the late Ella Elliott.
She married Carl O'Haver Jr. in 1953. He passed away in 2008.
Surviving are her sons, Dana (Christinea), Carlton (Kathy Sandilla) and Ronald (Kathy Gurka) O'Haver; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of extended stepfamily.
Her stepfather, Seth Hoover, who raised her, preceded her in death.
Betty Lou's life will be celebrated with a visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren, 24955 C.R. 24. Pastor Mike Martin will officiate, and burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery.
Betty Lou was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers and birds.
Donations may be made to the church, where Betty Lou was a lifetime member.
