ELKHART — Betty Jane Anderson, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at the Elkhart Place.

Betty was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Minneapolis, to Arthur and Josephine (Anderson) Sorenson.

She married the love of her life, Norris R. Anderson, on  June 5, 1948, in Minneapolis. Norris passed away Oct. 29, 2013, in Rockford, Illinois, after 66 wonderful years of marriage.

In addition to her husband Norris, a sister Gloria Gray and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Gray, and a niece, Mary Gray preceded Betty in death.

Surviving are her four sons, David (Nancy) Anderson of Aurora, Colorado, Mike (Diane) Anderson of Marshalltown, Iowa, Bruce (Penny) Anderson of Goshen and James (Mary Beth) Anderson of Verona, Wisconsin.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Betty was retired and had formerly worked for JC Penney and the First Federal Bank.

Betty and Norris enjoyed many summer vacations with their young sons, traveling around the U.S. They spent the winter months in Florida.

Betty had a long and wonderful life, enjoying loving time with her family, grandchildren and many friends.

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart.
