ELKHART -- Bessie Sue Taylor, 65, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:58 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, in Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Hazard, Ky., to John and Stella Mae (McIntosh) Randolph Sr. On Aug. 24, 1961, she married Bruce E. Taylor in Muncie. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Richard) Lewis of Muncie and Paula (Johnnie) Cash of Muncie; son Paul (Amanda) Taylor of Elkhart; two sisters, Nanal Goorhouse of Elkhart and Betty Smith of Louisville, Ky.; three brothers, Donnie (Brenda) Randolph of Elkhart, John F. (Shirley) Randolph Jr. of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Sam Randolph of Middlebury; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ernest Randolph, Clarence McIntosh and Billy, Jessie and Jerry Randolph; two sisters, Geraldine Walls and Ruby Randolph; and three sons, Robert, Ronald and Donald Taylor.

Bessie was retired from Strauss Bakery after 17 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar and spending time with her family and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, two hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Interment will follow in Osolo Cemetery.
