Bessie G. Beltran, 68, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart. She was born in Harlingen, TX on December 7, 1952 to the late Raul and Olgie (Burrow) Cantu Sr.

Bessie is survived by her loving husband of 46 wonderful years, Antonio Beltran Sr.; son, Antonio Beltran Jr.; daughters, Alicia (Paul Sr.) Wiess and Amanda (Jose) Diaz; nine grandchildren; brother, Raul Cantu Jr.; sisters, Betty (Eladeo) Lopez, Beatrice (Sam) Salzar, Bonnie (Dwayne) Newton, and Barbara Cantu; and brother-in-law, Rosaleo Pena. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bertha Pena.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart with a service to follow at noon with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. Burial will immediately follow services where she will be laid to rest at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen.

Bessie was a loving and caring mother who was close to her children. She was her family's foundation and was someone they could turn to when they needed her caring advice or listing ear. In her spare time, she loved to be in her garden growing beautiful rose bushes and flowers of all colors. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughters and husband by her side. Bessie will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.
