She was born Sept. 9, 1907, in Chicago to Elmer E. and Mabel (Palais) Thompson. She married Robert Boysen on April 5, 1929. He died July 18, 1966. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara (Arthur) Fierce of Elkhart; four grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. A stillborn infant daughter and her son, Richard A. Boysen, preceded her in death.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
