ELKHART -- Berna D. Price, 56, of Elkhart, died at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday (April 6, 2010) at Elkhart General Hospital from a sudden illness.

She was born to Bernard J. and Dolores T. (Seratt) Price on Aug. 14, 1953, in Tulsa, Okla.

She is survived by her brother, Darrel (Rainy) Price of Indianapolis; nephew Thomas (Andrea) Price of South Bend; great-niece Jennifer Rose Price; and childhood friend Judy.

She was preceded in death by sister Joan Price, brother Tommy Price and her parents.

Berna worked at Electromation Inc. for 31 years, starting on the assembly line, then as a line group leader and finally in the tool crib. She retired when the company closed local operations. She was a 1972 graduate of Concord High School, loved flowers and gardening and was a huge fan and collector of Garfield the Cat items. Berna liked to bowl and spend time with her great-niece, Jennifer Rose.

Friends may call one hour prior to Saturday's 11 a.m. service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
