ELKHART — Barbara Sue Vidmar, 62, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in South Bend to Emerson J. and Margaret L. (Tetzlaff) Nimtz.
On Sept. 14, 1974, she married Guy M. Vidmar Sr. in South Bend.
In addition to her husband and mother other survivors include two sons, Joseph (Farah) Vidmar and Todd (Holly) Vidmar, both of Goshen; two stepsons, Guy Vidmar Jr. of Elkhart and Deno (Shelly) Vidmar of Lakeville; stepdaughter Angel (Craig) Vidmar of Lakeville; two sisters, Gail Walsh of South Bend and Sharon (Randy) Herben of Granger; three brothers, Rick (Jan) Nimtz of South Bend, Gary (Kathy) Nimtz of Lakeville and Dennis Nimtz of South Bend; seven grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Barbara, known affectionately as "Barbie Doll," was a loving homemaker for more than 40 years. She and her husband, Guy, worked as managers for all of the Three Points Motels for the past five years.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the 7 p.m. memorial service Friday, Jan. 24, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate.
