ELKHART - Barbara Jean Stacy, 49, of Elkhart, died at 4:57 p.m. Sunday (April 8, 2007) at the home of her brother, William Wright, where she had been staying following an illness. She was born May 7, 1957, in Albion, Mich., to Merle and Thelma (McPhearson) Wright. In May 1985, in Elkhart, she married Charles Stacy. He survives in Elkhart along with one daughter, Robin Stacy of Bowling Green, Ohio; one son, Henry Elswick of Charleston, W.Va.; three brothers, William Wright of Elkhart, Jesse Wright of Charleston, S.C., and Forrest Wright of Ellery, S.C.; and two sisters, Tammy Sweigart of Schaefferstoen, Pa., and Marilyn Hartland of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Thelma; and one brother, Tim Wright. There will be no visitation or services and, at her request, cremation has taken place. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
