Obituary
MIDDLEBURY — Barbara I. Schult, 66, of Middlebury, went home to be with her Lord Friday, March 4.
She was born in Seattle, Wash., Dec. 29, 1949, to the late Laverne and Barbara (Wallace) Altom.
She later married Kenneth L. Schult on Nov. 26, 1972, in Elkhart. He survives at home after 43 wonderful years together.
Also surviving are her children, Angie (Aaron) Holdread, Amy Schult and Casey (Trina) Schult, all of Elkhart; brother Wally Altom of Austin, Texas; and grandchildren Codty, Emily (Rueben), Jessica, Joseph, Nicholas, Gabriel and Gideon; as well as her great-grandson, Parker.
In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation is to take place and arrangements for a memorial service at a later date are being entrusted to Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
Before retiring, she worked in the accounting field but was also a manicurist, and retained some of her clients after retirement. She enjoyed craft projects like embroidering and quilting, and, as a result, she made lasting memories for her entire family. Barb had a loving heart which she shared often with her family and friends.
