Obituary
ELKHART- Barbara J. Pritschet, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Monday March 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1932 in Elkhart to the late Riley R. and Clara E. (Nicodemus) Jordan.
On September 29, 1956 she married Francis "Frank" Pritschet. He passed away on April 17, 2002.
Survivors include a son, Brian (Jeanette) Pritschet of Charleston, IL; daughter, Kathy (Mike) Keagle of Elkhart; 6 grandchildren, Brendon Keagle and fiancée, Krystal Vivian, Max Keagle and fiancée, Haley Lipps of Elkhart, Sara Pritschet of Knoxville, TN, Michael (Megan) Pritschet of Clarksville, TN, Laura Pritschet of Charleston, IL and Riley Keagle of Savannah, GA; 3 great-grandchildren, Shiloh and Sophia Pritschet and Daisy Keagle.
Barbara was employed for several years as a kindergarten teacher, substitute teacher and a paraprofessional for the Elkhart Community School Corporation prior to her retirement in 1992.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and working on word search puzzles. She loved spending time at her grandchildren's various activities. She also enjoyed visiting her neighbors and bird watching.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 25th from 5-7 PM at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 12:00 noon at Billings Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Committal services will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, March 28th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
