WHITE PIGEON, Mich. -- Barbara Lucille Newvine, 76, of White Pigeon, died at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2011) at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born June 17, 1934, in Elkhart, Ind., to George F. and Lucille (Workman) Mapes. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Newvine Sr., former husband James F. Sanders of Elkhart and was preceded in death by husband Lamar Misener.
Also surviving are daughters Pamela K. Withrow, Linda J. (Carl) Wiesinger, Robin (Bill) McIntyre, Sharon L. Hansen of Northglenn, Colo., Sandra Katzel of Chicago and Diane (Barry) Singleton; sons Michael J. Sanders and Alfred "Butch" (Gina) Newvine Jr.; brothers George (Monica) Mapes of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kenneth (Linda) Mapes of New Carlisle, Pa.; and a multitude of grand and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2 p.m. Saturday memorial service at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Burial of remains will be in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart, at a later date.
