She was born in Elkhart on Oct. 17, 1932, to Roy L. Desonia. She married Charles D. Miller on June 22, 1972. He died Sept. 21, 1989.

She is survived by four stepsons, David (Lorinda) Miller of Elkhart, Douglas (Pamela) Miller of Anderson, Roger (Jan) Miller of Portland, Ore., and Alexander (Julie) Hurowyj of Mesa, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Valentina (Boyd) Brown of Goshen and Nina (William) Pollack of California; and 10 stepgrandchildren.

A stepgrandson, Shane Miller, preceded her in death.

Friends may call two hours before the noon Tuesday service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Dale Turner of Zion Missionary Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.

Mrs. Miller retired from Elkhart General Hospital, where she worked 40 years as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Zion Missionary Church and a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
