Obituary
ELKHART — Barbara J. "Barb" Messick, 64, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 19, 1951, in Manchester, Tenn., to the late Evans H. and Obelia M. (Robinson) Messick.
Survivors include her sister, Phyllis Eger of Elkhart; niece Robin Kolbus of Munising, Mich.; nephew Charlie (Angela) Eger and children Jessie, Veda and Levi Eger, all of Elkhart; aunt Marie Messick of Elkhart; great-nephew Michael Kolbus of Munising; and close friends Cathy (Dan) Kreiser of Brandon, Fla., and Pastor David (Diana) Powell of Elkhart.
In addition to being a homemaker for several years, Barb was employed at Christian Center Bookstore in South Bend.
She was a former member of His Place Worship Center in Elkhart.
There will be no public service. Inurnment of her cremated remains will take place in Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
