ELKHART — Barbara Marie Mann, 79, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Valley View Health Care Center.
She was born March 2, 1932, in Bronx, N.Y., to Raymond J. and Marie (Kughler) Hayes. On Oct. 20, 1951, she married Russell J. Mann in Bronx. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2009.
Survivors include her sons, Russell M. (Janet) Mann of Elkhart and Troy E. (Amy) Mann of Goshen; daughter Susan Walker of Elkhart; sister Joan Moser of Florida; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Barbara loved her family and was very supportive during their many years of sports activities from Little League through high school. Barbara was a familiar face at Concord football, baseball and softball games and will be sadly missed.
She was a longtime member of The Order of Pythian Sisters. Barbara was an avid Chicago Cubs and University of Notre Dame football fan.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 8, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at the funeral home.
