Barbara Ann (Mugavero) Linder, 82, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Waterford Crossing, Goshen. She was born on November 28, 1937 in New York, New York, and raised in Queens, to the late Michael and Anna (Carins) Mugavero.
Surviving are her five children, whom she couldn't be more proud of; her four loving daughters, Patricia (Scott) Shafer, Mary (Lamar) Slabaugh, Susan Linder, Karen (Chris) Hargrove, her loving son Jack (Suzanne) Linder Jr.; also 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive as well. Her parents and her beloved brother James Mugavero preceded her in death.
Barbara was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, and was a former Girl Scout Leader and softball coach, while her daughters were growing up. She enjoyed spending time with her ever expanding family, golfing, swimming, and was the Queen of Rummikub!.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 05, 2020 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main St. Elkhart. Rev. Jason Freiburger will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
