Barbara J. "Bobbie" Johnson, 84, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her home.

Barbara was born on August 29, 1938 in Elkhart, IN to the late, George and Isabelle (Twiford) Sutterby.

Barbara was married to the late, Franklin "Frankie" Johnson.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Isabelle, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Dale (Tricia) L. Lamb and Walter "Jay" Lamb, both of Elkhart; grandchildren, Bryant, Destiny, Paige (Logan), Breann and Seth; and great grandchildren, Rilynn and Emmett.

Barbara was everyone's "Aunt Bobbie". Family was everything to her. Barbara instilled a toughness but was very generous. She enjoyed watching old television programs, game shows and country westerns. Barbara enjoyed nature and caring for any animal that crossed her path.

Most of all, Barbara was a doting grandmother and loving great grandmother.

A Funeral Service for Barbara will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Rev. Jeremy Sarber officiating.

A Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.
