She was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Richard and Irene (Ingalls) Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Dave (Jackie) Stokely of Bristol and Matthew Stokely of California; one daughter, Susan Chadwell of Elkhart; her companion of 20 years, George Palmero of Elkhart; four granchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Shirley (Robert) Nicolai and Carolyn (Norbert) Cowan, both of Fort Wayne, and Suzanne Dupont of Caledonia, Mich.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Frank Brown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Kermit Weaver will officiate. Cremation will follow the service, and burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
Ms. Green worked in the dietary deptartment at Elkhart General Hospital for 10 years. She had been a case worker at Church Community Services and was a program assistant at the YMCA Senior Center, both in Elkhart. She was a graduate of Syracuse High School and attended Ball State University. She enjoyed genealogy, camping and fishing and had a soft spot for animals, including her cat, Jeremiah.
