Barbara Ann Gorce, 60, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Barbara was born on August 19, 1964 in Elkhart to the late Henry Lou Smith and Peggy Ann (Grant) Smith.

She is preceded by the father of her children, Anthony Edward Gorce, Jr.

Barbara is survived by her children, Derek (Angela) Gorce and Peggy (Nicalas) Baltimore; grandchildren, Chloe Wigent, Tanner Wigent, Larry Hughes, Kendra Hughes, Anthony Baltimore, Victoria Baltimore and Kenzie Baltimore; brothers, Mike (Kathy) Smith, Robert Smith and sister, Lori (Jeff) Hoeppner.

Barbara was last employed at Lasalle Bristol where she forged many friendships with her coworkers. She enjoyed playing softball and bowling in her younger years.

Most of all, family was her whole world, especially all her grandchildren in which she adored.

Barbara was a ray of light to anyone she met. She was helpful and always thought of others before herself.

There will be a celebration of life for Barbara at a later date. Per her request, in her selfless nature, she donated her body to help others and was cremated.
