Barbara Jean Elliott, 89, of Elkhart passed away peacefully at Center for Hospice in Elkhart. Barbara was born on November 7, 1935, in Elkhart to the late Kenneth and Nina T. (Galinet) Yeater. In addition to her parents her husband, Jack Owen Elliott, two brothers Cecil and Ron Yeater and her sister Peggy Prugh preceded her in death.

Barbara graduated from Elkhart High School in 1953. She worked as secretary for Miles Laboratories International for many years. She also worked for Skyline, Deitch Co., Coachmen and Collins Company in administrative positions.

Barbara loved Bobby Vinton and saw him with her sister over 187 times in concert. As they traveled around the country to see Bobby, they visited many casinos! She also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and cruised with her sister and friends; she was proud she had filled two passports with stamps.

Barbara is survived by her step-children Joan (Charles) McCuen, Patricia (Al) Beranek, John (Mel) Elliott, and Monica (Larry) Harmon, many grand and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Per Barbara's wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Memorial donations may be given to the Center for Hospice c/o Esther's House in Elkhart, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545 and Here Kitty Kitty Rescue, 25138 CR 24, Elkhart, IN 46517.
