ELKHART — Barbara M. "Barb" Carr, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of an extended illness while visiting family in Kentucky on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018.

She was born in Tamaroa, Illinois, Feb. 2, 1937,  to the late Cullen and Madge (Donoho) Presswood and later married Merle Carr, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include children Randy (Lisa) Carr, LaDonna (Paul) Rhodes, William (Barbara) and David W. Allen; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A son, two grandsons and six brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Barbourville Funeral Home in Kentucky and Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart have been assisting the family with private burial arrangements in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.

Barb enjoyed animals of all kinds, flowers, crafts and spending time with her family.
