Obituary
Barbara June Bayliss, 83, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at the Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2013 at 9:40 am.
She was born in Dowagiac, MI on Oct. 11, 1930 to the late Leonard Hawks, Sr. and Lottie (Smith) Hunt.
Surviving is her son Leonard (Linda) Elliott of Elkhart and a brother, Joseph Laws, of Jones, MI.
4 grand, 10 great-grand and 4 great-great-grandchildren survive as well.
In accordance with Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart. She had spent most of her life as a homemaker.
Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County. Please keep Barbara's family in your thoughts and prayers as they journey through this difficult time.
