Barbara "Barb" Anne Nadon, 81, of Elkhart, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Barbara was born on February 17, 1942, in Elkhart, to the late Robert L. Emmans and Frances G. (Jolliff) Emmans.

Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband, Bud Warren J. "Bud" Emmans, who passed on March 13, 2012, and most recently her husband, Robert "Bob" Nadon, who passed away on November 14, 2020. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis and Warren Emmans.

Barbara is survived by her stepdaughter, Leatha (Jesus Maria) Nadon-Mendez, and stepson, Neal (Rebecca) Nadon, both of Elkhart; half-brother, DJ "Don" Riendeau; and step grandchildren, Gabriel, Jesse, and Noel.

Barbara worked at the Elkhart County Health Department for 30 years. She taught Sunday school and was a St. Paul's closet volunteer, as well as a long-time member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart.

Barbara was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge 599, American Legion Post 143 in Bristol, DAV Women's Auxillary, Business Professional Women (B.P.W.), and the Disabilities Research Network of Elkhart.

In her spare time, Barbara worked in a clothes closet that would give bags of clothing to those who were less fortunate.

Barbara was a caring, humorous, and strong-willed lady. Most of all, Barbara always put others before herself.

A Graveside Service for Barbara will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Osceola Cemetery, County Line Road (Ash Road) and Lincolnway Rd. in Osceola, IN with Pastor Tom Defries of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart officiating.
