Arthur William Mills, 79, of Jones, MI, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Majestic Health of Goshen.

Art was born on February 20, 1944, in Elkhart, to the late Harry E. Mills Sr. and Doris Jean (Smith) Mills.

He is preceded in death by his sons, Doug and Robin Secor and brothers, Carl and Harry Mills.

Art is survived by his sons, David Mills of Elkhart, Charles Secor of Elkhart, Allen Secor of Tampa, FL;  as well as daughter, Sissy and son, Buck; brother, Joseph E. (Trudy) Mills of Osceola; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; close nephews, Joe Mills Jr. and Ricky Edwin Mills and live in companion, Bonita Cabrera.

Art graduated from Elkhart High School. He honorably served in the U.S. Army as an expert marksman stationed in Germany during Vietnam. Art was in the R.V. industry most of his life.

In his early years, he was a 200 average bowler. Art enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Art's passion was racing cars. He was known to build cars from scratch.

Art was also a skilled man who built several of his own homes.

Art later in life became an animal lover, especially with his cats. He also enjoyed watching westerns especially Grit tv.

Most of all, Art would give the shirt off his own back. He served people much like Jesus.

He was a gentle man, who loved to help people and adored his grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life gathering for Art from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 with military honor guard at the American Legion Post 308, 122 Lincolnway E. Osceola, IN 46561.
