He was born March 5, 1930, in Chicago to Arthur A. and Elizabeth (Bucher) Falk. He was divorced.
He is survived by three sons, Al (Susan) Falk of Bristol, David Falk of Elkhart and James Falk of South Bend; four daughters, Maggie (Bill) Gant of Elkhart, Adrienne (Sam) Green of South Bend and June (Keith) Schiavoni and Colleen (Bill) Belew, both of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, June (Jim) Vrhel of Paw Paw, Mich., and Grace Hay of Port Charlotte, Fla.; one brother, Kenny (Marilyn) Falk of Three Rivers, Mich.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Dale Turner will officiate and military honors will be rendered after the service by Elkhart DAV Chapter 19 and the U.S. Air Force Funeral Honor Guard.
Mr. Falk was a career member of the Air Force, stationed at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, where he served for 18 years as staff sergeant. He served in the Korean War era and was a flight line mechanic, servicing B-52s. After retiring from active duty, he settled into a life of hunting and fishing, his greatest pleasures after his family. He belonged to the National Rifle Association.
