ELKHART -- Arnold Eugene Sprinkle, 79, of Elkhart, passed away at 3:57 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5. 2011, at the Hospice House of Elkhart after an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Black River Falls, Wis., to the late James and Ruth (Severson) Sprinkle. He later married Virginia N. Peters on Feb. 2, 1950, in Black River Falls. She died in Elkhart in 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Johnny) Willis of Knoxville, Tenn., and Wanda DeBurger of Oliver Springs, Tenn., four brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. As per the family's request, cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at a later date at Mottville Cemetery in Mottville, Mich. The Rev. Terry Bucholtz will officiate.
Arnold worked for many years at the Elkhart Foundry, but spent his last years employed at Martin's Supermarket.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice.
