Armando Parra Sanchez, 54, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1970, to the late Carmen Sanchez Romero and Florentino Parra Gomez, who survives him.

Armando is also survived by his loving wife, Sofia Parra; daughters, Merari, Yvonne, Carmen Parra; grandchildren, Amelia Parra and Elsie Salas; son-in-law, Daniel Salas; siblings, Primitivo, Luisa, and Mauro Parra Sanchez; and his faithful canine companion, Luka.  He is preceded in death by his mother and brother, Florentino Parra Sanchez.

Visitation will take place at on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart with a recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7:15 p.m. A Mass of a Christian burial will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, at noon at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516 with an hour of visitation prior from 11 a.m. to noon. Following the Mass, a graveside service will immediately follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

Armando was an intelligent, independent, and strong man who worked at Norco Industries. He was also a loving and caring father, often expressing his affection through tough love. Armando was a true family man and would do anything to make sure that his family was given the world. Especially his grandchildren, whom he loved to spoil and shower with gifts and love. Anyone who knew Armando would tell you that although he had a tough exterior, he was a kind and gentle soul on the inside.

Armando was an outstanding cook and made the best tacos on his grill. Cooking meals for his family on the grill was one of his favorite past times. He enjoyed traveling and would often take spontaneous trips when he needed some time to himself. In his spare time, Armando spent most of his time with his family and would enjoy the company of his faithful canine, Luka. Armando will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Armando también le sobrevive su amada esposa, Sofía Parra, hijas, Merari, Yvonne, Carmen Parra; nietos, Amelia Parra y Elsie Salas; yerno, Daniel Salas; hermanos, Primitivo, Luisa y Mauro Parra Sánchez; y su fiel compañero canino, Luka. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre y su hermano, Florentino Parra Sánchez.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el Jueves 2 de Enero de 2025, de 5 a 8 p.m. en la funeraria Billings, 812 Baldwin St. en Elkhart con un rezo del Rosario a partir de las 7:15 p.m. Se llevará a cabo una Misa de Cristiano entierro el Viernes 3 de Enero de 2025 al mediodía en la Iglesia Católica San Vicente de Paúl, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516 con una hora de visita previa de 11 a. m. a mediodía. Después de la misa, se realizará un servicio junto a la tumba en el cementerio de Prairie Street en Elkhart.
