UNION, Mich. — Arlene M. Boyer, 73, of Union, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 17, 1938, in Tippecanoe, to the late Wiliam F. and Lorvena M. (Rains) Dolph. She later married Alvin L. Boyer, who survives at home.
Also surviving are daughter Karmen (Paul) Lightfoot; sons Dean, Dan and Dion (Taya) Boyer; brother Richard "Dick" (Janice) Dolph; sisters Peggy Dygert, Joann Dolph, Retha (Kenneth) Miller, Billie Jean (Scott) DeMars and Connie (Tony) Fitz; and several grandchildren.
In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Winding Waters Church, 420 C.R. 4 West, Elkhart, Ind.
Arlene was a real estate agent for Fairchild and Associates of Elkhart for many years.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
