ELKHART — April L. Colley, 45, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018.

April was born to Genoris Crawford Sr. and Ruthie M. Wesley (Colley) on Aug. 2, 1972, in Chicago.

She had many hobbies, including dance and cosmetology.

She was a jokester who loved to listen to music and spend time with her friends and family.

She is survived by both of her parents; children Darnisha A.Thomas, Chantel L. Thomas, and Daveon J. Cassell; grandchildren Chanell Tett and Amiyah Cassell; fiancé David W. Cassell; siblings Genoris Crawford Jr, Katrina Colley, Corentis Crawford and Adornrious Johnson; her special aunt, Sandy Holt; her good friends, Teffany Allen and Jasmine Holt; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Henryetta Colley, and her aunt Jimmie Davis.

The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, with a viewing starting at 1 p.m. at New Vision of Life Church, 400 W. Mishawaka Road, in Elkhart, and a graveside service following the funeral in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to New Vision of Life Church.
