ELKHART -- Antonie F. Jolgren, 89, of Elkhart, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday (Aug. 10, 2009) in Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Munich, Germany, to Ludwig and Maria Berger. On Oct. 20, 1948, she married Carl V. Jolgren in Detroit, Mich.; he died Aug. 17, 1954, in Elkhart.
Mrs. Jolgren is survived by two sons, Vern (Robin) Jolgren of Elkhart and Victor (Mary) Jolgren of Muncie; and two grandchildren, Courtney E. (Bernard) Bolka IV of Granger and Michael B. Jolgren of Elkhart.
Mrs. Jolgren retired from Miles Laboratories after 30-plus years of service where she worked as an executive secretary. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Elkhart and enjoyed traveling. Her two grandchildren were the light of her life.
Friends may call for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Bill Sullivan of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church will officiate. Burial and graveside services to follow at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.
