ELKHART — Annie R. "Faye" Irwin, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart.
She was born April 24, 1940, in Vernon, Ala., to Joseph T. and Lona M. (Otts) Flynn.
On July 14, 1958, she married John G. Irwin in Elkhart.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Johnny (Tamra) Irwin, Davis Irwin and Robert Irwin, all of Elkhart; daughter Rose Irwin of Jones, Mich.; three sisters, Mary Marie (Gene) Lowther of Elkhart, Ruby Ellsworth of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Judy Loutzenhiser of Elkhart; two brothers, Charles (Linda) Flynn of Troy, Ala. and FM (Jessie) Flynn of Dresden, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thurlow Bay Irwin; two brothers, Larry and Benjamin Brake; and a granddaughter, Nicole Irwin.
She was a loving homemaker and a member of Life Tabernacle Church for more than 43 years.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, March 19, 2013, all to be held at Life Tabernacle Church, 1135 Middlebury St., Elkhart. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
