ELKHART — Anne M. Lese, 89, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at 4 a.m. in her home.
She was born in Elkhart on Oct. 6, 1924, to the late John and Josephine (Iavagnillio) Trovatore.
On May 25, 1946, she married Theodore R. "Ted" Lese in Elkhart. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her son, Robert Lese of Milford, Ohio; her daughter Marianne (Danny Anglemyer) Lowery of Elkhart; her brother, John (Charliene) Trovatore of Mishawaka; sisters Antoinette Muellner of Granger and Mary (Terry) Stewart of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her brothers, Joseph, Orland, Patsy and John Jr. Trovatore, her sister, Joan Sigsbee and a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lese.
A celebration of Anne's life will be Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with a rosary service beginning there at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday, Oct. 21. 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main St., Elkhart, with the Rev. Jason Freiburger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery in Elkhart.
Anne worked many years as an office clerk for the Porter Township (Mich.) Trustee's Office and the Council on Aging office in Cassopolis, Mich. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas Rosary Society and the Elkhart Women of the Moose Chapter 73, and was the president of her neighborhood watch program. In her free time she enjoyed golfing, gardening and making mission rosaries.
