ELKHART -- Anna Belle Matheson, 47, of Elkhart, died Thursday (May 27, 2010) at 7:04 p.m. in the emergency room at Elkhart General Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born in Elkhart on Nov. 6, 1962, to Alfred and Catherine (Smith) Kelley. She married Wayne J. Matheson on March 18, 2001, in Elkhart.

He survives along with her daughter Kellie (Dee) Arnett; sons Michael (Frances) McMannis, Ben Matheson, both of Elkhart and Jeff and James Matheson, both at home; 11 grandchildren; mother Catherine Kelley of Elkhart; brother Calvin (Junella) Kelley of Elkhart; and sister Vivian Kelley of Farmland.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Kelley.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Billings Funeral Home, where a remembrance service will follow at 3 p.m . Cremation will follow the service. Anna was a wonderful mother and grandmother and an avid animal lover and will be missed by all, especially her dog Sydney. Memorials may be given to the family.
