Anna Marie Torres, 58, of Elkhart, passed away with her husband by her side on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Anna was born on January 15, 1963 in Chicago, IL to James and Geneva (Miracle) Johnson. She married the love of her life, Jorge in 2005. Anna is preceded in death by her father, James in 2013; brother, Bill Johnson in 2013 and sister, Sheila Bradshaw.

Anna is survived by her husband Jorge of Elkhart; mother, Geneva of Elkhart; brother, Mike (Donna) Johnson of Mishawaka; sister, Gloria (Patrick) OConner of Elkhart; and many cousins, nephews and nieces and her dog, Gizmo.

Anna worked in the manufacturing industry for many years including at Godfrey Marine in Elkhart. She primarily took care of her mother, Geneva in recent years. Anna and her husband, Jorge, spent time together watching scary movies and listening to Oldies but Goodies and classic country music. She enjoyed playing cards and computer games. Anna loved having Christmas get togethers during the holiday season.

Anna was a caring person with a big heart whom always put others before herself and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Anna's Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN with public visitation 2 hours prior from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Pastor Jeremy Sarber will be officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home is assisting the family.
