Anna Marie Alderson, 84, formerly of Elkhart, went home to her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in Georgia.

Ann was born on March 21, 1941 in Osceola, IN to the late, Kenneth DeBowe and Lucille (Stoner) Hartman.

Ann is preceded in death by her infant son, Ken W. Alderson and sister, Rose Schlundt.

Ann is survived by her children, Dennis (Kathleen) Alderson of Greensboro, GA, Denise M. (Spence) Steele of Dublin, OH and Diane L. (Robert) Russell of Dacula, GA; adored  grandchildren, Abigail, Erin (Dan), Molly, Alec, Joanna (Gui), Abe (Shellil) and Jason; great grandchildren, Ava, Charlie, Maeve, Ruby and Luca; and her brother, John Hartman of Elkhart and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann took great pride in being a "Mom" and "Grandma". She enjoyed cooking the family's favorite foods and celebrating birthdays and holidays with family. All the grandchildren will remember the pillow fights when visiting at Grandma's house.

Ann had a great respect for the grace and beauty of giraffes. She had a home filled with giraffes from family and friends.

In 1993, Ann moved back to Elkhart and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. As a member of Catholic Solitaires, she enjoyed playing cards and eating out with her friends.

A visitation for Ann will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart, IN 46516. Visitation will be one  hour prior to the start of the Mass from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the church.

Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka after the Funeral Mass.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, American SIDS Institute or Parkinson's Foundation.
