Angelique "Angie" Marie Nielsen, 72, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025 at The Waters of Wakarusa.

Angie was born on March 2, 1953 in Yuma, AZ and was raised by Luke Herring along with her mother, Ardys (Hamilton) Herring.

Angie is survived by her children, Gina (Max) Kline, Klaus (Pauline) Grose, Kasey (Ronnie) Cooper and Jena (Chad) Bowers; siblings, James (Helen) Hamilton, Allen (Pam) Knight and  Terrie (Troy) Forrest; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-Grandchildren.

Angie had a gift for hospitality. Whether she was tending bar, caring for others, or simply making people feel welcome, she had a natural way of brightening the room. She loved the simple joys in life: being out on the lake, soaking up the sun, and relaxing with her favorite soap operas and Hallmark movies. Those who knew her best will remember her easy laugh, her warmth, and the way she could make anyone feel at home.

There will be a celebration of life at Shavehead Lake at a later date. Per the family's request, Angie was cremated.
