ELKHART — Angeline Carmella Cataldo, 92, of Elkhart, passed gently to her rest Thursday, May 21, at Golden Living Center.
She was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, to Dominic A. and Theresa M. (Campiti) Furfaro.
She married Joseph C. Cataldo on Nov. 27, 1947, in Elkhart. He died in April 2003.
Surviving are her two daughters, Jeanette M. Cataldo and Elizabeth A. Cataldo, both of Elkhart; brother Frank (Kay) Furfaro and sister Mary Vanator, both of Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brothers, Jim and Anthony "Tony" Furfaro.
Angeline loved her family, animals, cooking, shopping and listening to music. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She formerly worked at CTS, Boris Smolers Dress Factory and Miles.
Friends may call for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St. Elkhart. The Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.
The family kindly requests memorials be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, Alzheimer's Association or the church.
