Allice J. Boomershine, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Greenhouse Village of Goshen, to be reunited with her loving husband, Burton "Burt" G. Boomershine, who preceded her on February 3, 2014. She was born in Elkhart on February 1, 1928 to the late Orlin and Charlotte (Cleveland) Grove.

Allice is survived by her sons, Thomas (Janele) Boomershine of Goshen and James Boomershine of Indianapolis; daughter, Gail (John) Sadowey of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, David Boomershine; daughter, Nancy Moore; brothers, Lewis, George, Hewitt, John, and Robert Grove; and sisters, Rose Scott and Ruth Fisher.

In accordance with Allice's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart. No immediate services have been planned at this time.

Allice worked for Matzke's Florist for many years in sales and putting together floral arrangements. She married the love of her life, Burt Boomershine, on January 28, 1948 in Elkhart and attended Trinity United Methodist Church for several years. Allice was a fun loving, joyful, and overall pleasant woman to be around. Those who knew her would call her the sweetest lady they ever met. In her spare time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. She also enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren during their sporting events. Allice will be missed greatly by her loving family.
