ELKHART -- Allen Bruce Williams, 57, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday afternoon (Aug. 7, 2010) in his home.

Allen was born on Aug. 18, 1952, in Buckhannon, W. Va., to Edward Ray and Mary F. (Chipps) Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene D. Bancroft-Williams of Elkhart; son Donald (Heither) Williams of Monroe City, Mo.; and three granddaughters, Kayla, Karena and Kendra Williams, at home; brothers Jerry Williams of Elkhart and the Rev. Michael (Sherry) Williams of Princeton, W. Va.; and sisters Rose (Thomas) Watson and Barbara (Robert) Homewood, both of Elkhart.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Larry R. and David G. Williams.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (Aug. 13, 2010) at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon, W. Va., where a service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. His brother, the Rev. Michael Williams, will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount. Nebo Church Cemetery, Buckhannon.
