Allen "Squeak" E. Nord, 96, of Elkhart, IN went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Allen also known to many as "Squeak" was born on August 11, 1929 in Elkhart, IN to the late, Harry H. and Iva (Jones) Nord. Allen was married to his first wife, Ruby P. Smith, who passed away on September 15, 1992 and his second wife, Beryl, who passed away in Dec. 22, 2022.

Squeak is proceeded in death by his first wife, Ruby P. Smith; 2 nd wife, Beryl Henderliter; daughter, Karen Nord; mother, Iva; father, Harry; sister, Betty Moore and brother, Ernest Nord.

Squeak is survived by his children, Linda (John) Tunks, Brenda (Bob) Sage and Bradley (Tina) Nord; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and stepchildren: Sue Barber, Dane Anderson, Kathy Chai and Elaine Purdy.

Squeak was a contractor for Hodge and Sherman Realtors for 20 years. He retired from Norman Yoder Construction after 15 years in 1992. Squeak shared his construction skills with others and continued to work his trade long after retirement.

Squeak and his wife Beryl were long time members of Hillcrest United Methodist Church with Squeak serving on the board of trustees for 30 years. He was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge 599. Squeak was a past member of Elkhart Vintage Auto Club, Breakfast Optimist Club and "Just say No" campaign in the schools. He was a lifetime member of NRA and Edwardsburg Conservation Club.

Squeak was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed antique cars and woodworking. He was an energetic, natural born leader and perfectionist. He would give the shirt off his own back to anyone in need. Squeak was also very social and a wonderful storyteller. He loved serving the Lord and others.

A Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM with the Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM. The Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Rev. Ryan Nord officiating.
